Saw some cool dudes on their segways.
There was also a lot of cycles on the Old Silverado trail doing an organised ride. For the riders, they had a massive headwind and it was hot. Fun times for them. Seemed an easy ride from the backseat of the car.
We had stayed way up in the north part of the Napa Valley, where it is quieter and less touristy. But we were keen to check out Napa itself, and discover the smells, the sights and everything else. It was more expensive to east and drink in Napa than Calistoga, but worth the visit.
They like their cars low around here.
Jen and Rel loved making new discoveries … and purchases
Tourist information centres were often funky places, and Napa was no exception.
It was time to find somewhere to eat and caffeinate.

We hit the jackpot here <insert drooling images>. Great options, great service, we didn’t mind tipping here.
Of course the term ‘flat white’ means nothing when it comes to ordering coffee here in the USA. We may as well speak another language when we say those two words.
Glad they had a sign where we could just point and say ‘one of those please’
There was a beautiful little ambience, and one of our supermodels smiled for the camera.

After we had fed, it was time to look for a … wait for it … a shop
But the store stocked all the important things

Rel can sniff out bargains from miles away. Here she is doing what she does so well … shop for bargains like a hawk circling its prey.

There were great mottos to inspire
Great displays that look good in tourist photos
And of course, a restaurant for Angela

When we got to San Fran, there was fog waiting for us. Surprise, surprise as Gomer Pyle would say.
They say that the weather is changeable here. We started on this bridge with blue skies ...

By the time we got over it, there was cloud everywhere.

The girls were kind enough to allow Johnny his indulgence for this trip. A visit to the 49ers home playing ground , Candlestick park.
It had a bit of a Griswald moment as the stadium was closed and empty, but that could not take the smile off John’s face.
Rel and John played their own game of gridiron to get that big match feeling going.

If only talent scouts were around, John would have been signed up straight away.
Then it was off to see one of San Fran’s landmarks, the painted ladies. They’ve only featured in about 300 movies and TV series.
Did we mention that the weather changes quickly here.
After we checked in , it was time to head off and explore SanFran
